“Deeply influenced by Southern California’s skateboard, surfing and hip-hop culture,
[Bevacqua] said he and Wright began making clothes that reflected their interests
but that no one else seemed to be providing.”
I’m not gonna try and pretend I knew the man or anything, nor will I attempt to make myself sound like I’m among streetwear’s finest paying respect. What I will say is that I’ve been a huge fan and supporter of LRG for close to a decade now. The jeans I’ve worn the most recently and most often are LRG. The shorts I’m wearing right now in this warm weather is LRG.
Pretty much every season, I’ve purchased something from a retail shop or online that is LRG because they always have at least one thing that I love. Hoodies, shorts, polos, tees, jackets, jeans… I have them all. I’ve studied all the different logos over the years and paid attention to every detail of the designs and decorations on their pieces.
To say that the LRG brand and Jonas have been a part of my life and an inspiration to me and this Ooloo thing is quite simply the truth. I pray for all the best to Jonas’ family, friends, and employees in this time of heartache. Thank you Mr. Bevacqua and everyone at LRG for doing what you have done and will continue to do.
Life is flimsy. Take a lesson from this and live life the best you can by being appreciative and thankful for everything you have. It can all disappear in the blink of an eye.
